APA’s Academic Writer is a useful tool that helps one manage their references and citations and assists in formatting papers in APA format. The following steps should be followed to access Academic Writer via the library.
1. First, navigate to the Library Home Page by navigating to https://library.divinemercy.edu. It is recommended that a bookmark or favorite be made in order to facilitate future access.
2. Sign into the library system. Click the “Library Log-In” link at the top of the page in the navigation bar. This will take you to a search page.
3. Under the “Resources” menu, select the first option to go back to the library website.
4. Then, under the “Writing Center” dropdown menu in the navigation bar, select “APA Academic Writer”. This will take you the Academic Writer service’s page.
5. Set up an Academic Writer account if not done already. Under the “Welcome” dropdown menu on the upper right, select “Log-In”. Then, select the blue “Create an Account” link to set up your account. Creating an account will require a form to be filled out and a button to click, but it is necessary to save papers and references. You can also log in here if you already have an account.
